Yeah, it would do.

To do what you want, you'd have to create keyzones for each individual key and then load the same sample into each one.

hmm..
the samples that im using are already broken up into loads of zones, some are 1 zone/ sample, others are 2 or 3 zones/sample.

But between the 3 tune knobs ive been messing with, they all just change the master tune. its a bit headwrecking!!
