studio headphones.advice needed

i got dt770 for 85punds(thats including postage),from dolphin music-never had any probs with them.got few items from them : speakers,headphones,sound cards etc.

Main difference is closed back (770) vs semi-open (880.
I'm sure the actual response varies a bit as well..

thx xfive i noticed that from the specs/photos and was hoping for a more comprehensive comparison... both models are praised in this thread independently, but i would like to know how they stack up against each other, after all the price difference is quite substantial.

well i would think mate that the more expensive usually means better as far as this sort of shit goes. i cant' comment on the 770's but after 2 days solid mixing on these beauty's i can say that you're gonna be a very very happy guy if you save your pennys.

if anything after 2 days, i would say i wish the top was a little more defined. it's good but it's not quite as good as my mackie speakers, but then again when are you honestly gonna get headphones as good a speakers hehe....

these shit all over my former headphones. i can believe it. i really can't honestly get over the difference.

making music without pissing off the neighbours has never been more pleasurable. :cheese:

the 3630 is shit, technically (cheap parts etc.). can be modded. doesn't mean it doesn't have its uses, though.

If they lasted longer the Pioneer HDj-1000's aren;t too bad....but if you buyt hem get the extended warranty cause they like to short out on the right side.

They are sweeeet

Got the 80ohm model instead though. It was all they had in stock, and my shitty mini mixer isn't powerful enought to do the 250 model anyways

I love my 770's ive heard the 880s as well, the 880's are definately better no question but for 85 quid you really cant go wrong with the 770s.

they're VERY comfortable and really do make writing music queitly a pleasure. I also notice that if i write something on the 770s it sounds about right when coming back onto speakers.

best headphones EVER full stop...

and watching a film with them on is ACE!
