    mmm..think il go for 770s, like the closed to the semi 880s, they sound a bit flimsy from what xfive was saying about his?

    what, the 770s? not in my opinion but i wouldnt really have much to compare them to , good build quality i think

    Nah dude not flimsy at all.. they were packed into a carryon gear bag that was overpacked, and when it tipped over on the tube all of the weight went right onto one cup and popped some screws.

    Definitely not a fault of the build quality, but more my own :)

    well i am sat here listening to the 880's for the very first time and i'm pretty damn godsmaked. i can't believe i've been mixing off the hd25's for my whole life - my god i've been missing out BIG TIME!!! these phones are lovely, they don't rest on your ears like the 25's and the sound is, well, lovely. they're definitely not flimsy and i really like the way you can hear a conversation with them on, this will be very very helpful to me and chrissi together in the studio.

    thanks to all concerned! i will update you as the months go on!

    haha.i experienced a same shock. i dont know if i will ever use hd25's for production again. maybe only to campare stuff

    they make AKG and SennHeiser look like baby toys.
