What audio editors do you all use?

I've been using Adobe Audition since the Syntrillium days when it was Cool Edit Pro and I know the prog inside out back to front and ass to mouth...just realised latley how few other producers ive spoken to use Audition...so ..is there a great deal of stuff im missing out on not using soundforge or whatever else is top end nowadays or is it just a case of better to use what you know??

used to use cool edit pro

have been using sound forge for years now though , i dont like using wavelab much , sound forge does everything i need to do , oh and also recycle i use that a lot

Soundforge on the PC
Soundtrack Pro on the MAC

Soundtrack is immense, THE best audio editor available.

I`ve been using soundforge since about 1998, so I`m very familiar with it. But most editors are as good as each other.
I also use Melodyne too though, which is great for time stretching and stuff.

soundforge for me on the pc - swear by it.

and peak on the mac if i have to..

Do you want soundtrack mark? I cant believe you wouldnt, PEAK stinks as an audio editor. very painful experience indeed.

I use PEAK and find it to be really good, will have to use soundtrack, cant sya iv ever used it :)

i use soundforge sinze version 4.5, now its on version 8 i think

lately i start using audacity

been using adobe audition for years, i know the program really well so i dont need to make any moves to other software, it gets the job done

oh and i use cubase sometimes too (when working on a track within cubase)

Mostly just use acid for my wave editor...works quite fine.
