We got here for a number of reasons, and I think the police are actually fairly low on the list.
When we had 3-10,000 people in a rave, we had numbers and power, the police really couldn`t do much and didn`t have the bottle unless they absoilutely had to.
Dwindling numbers and a lack of unity have allowed the police to bust parties with rather pathetic ease.
We did this to ourselves.
I don`t really want to go any further than that, as I could rant a books worth of text about it, as it is a matter very close to my heart, and every year I get the powerful urge to stick a ridiculously large soundsystem into a nice big horny warehouse again, and I have so far wisely stopped myself from doing so for a fair time now.
But if someone said I could have those great days again, right now, the rig would already be in the truck, and the monkey wrench primed and ready to crack them locks.
We may never see parties like we had in the 90`s in this country ever again.
How sad is that?
