the head to head thing is quite novel, but i think goal difference is still the better way...
the League represents a teams achievements over a whole season, therefore, if a team has been playing attractive football and scoring more goals in more games, this deserves to be taken into account...

I was glad to see R.Madrid win the title, they've been second best to Barcelona of late and they deserved some silver!!
