Ibiza Is Minimal Crazy.

yeah, "minimal" has invaded most scenes.

it even melded with Psytrance here in Cali, with the Prog Psy DJs now playing piles of minimal.

i had a bit of a revelation when i found minimal, but quickly realized that my idea of "minimal' differs quite a bit from most people. i can't stand the "2 bleeps and a squeek" style stuff, but i LOVE shit like Extrawelt, Petter, Minilogue, Trentemoller, Elegant Universe, Fairmont, Boratto, Komytea, etc. and also German techno gods like Johannes Heil, Kowalski, Schumacher, etc.. add stuff like Apparat into the mix, and i'm not even sure what style we're talking about (but i will be playing it on the beach this weekend).

so "minimal compared to banging Psytrance" is what i like, while "minimal compared to Techno" just puts me in a coma. as ever, it's all about the music you find around the edges.
