    Default studio headphones.advice needed

    thinkin of brand new heads. i hav sennheiser hd25 at the mo.
    but found them

    hard to say, the ones we used where dt770's and dt880's, both sounded great and felt great to wear too, nothing worse than headphones that hurt your ears

    I've got the beyerdynamic dt 880's (semi-open as opposed to the 770's being closed)
    And they are sweet.

    They just don`t perform as well, they sound too punchy and don`t translate well.
    And aren`t very comfortable for long temr use.
    that`s why you rarely see them in studios.

    yes agree with the beyer choice i upgraded from my hd25 last year to these. Good to have both to reference each other to but the beyer are much more ocmfy over longer periods and have a better sound.

    after reading all this, i checked out the spec and i've just bought the beyerdynamic dt880's too! can't wait to check em out. thanks also everyone!!!
