my system is crashing randomly, without any programs running or anything..
i have a feeling its either my USB port with my UC33 in it or all my 'demo' software

when this starts happening rory its definately rebuild time. best to wipe and start afresh. No point beating about the bush dude.
Either that or it could be a dodgy RAM. Are you getting any bluescreens?

I would be looking towards ram personally. Try using a decent memory testing prog to see if there is an issue. If that turns out to be fine, start uplugging stuff from your mobo one at a time, and seeing if that cures your problem. Then you know which peice is causing it. If you end up with it crashing anyway, then you deffo have a software issue or mobo issues.

Don't forget every windows since 2000 is configured to reboot on crash.
You can turn it off and you get the bluescreen, which can help you figure out what's going wrong.
