Excellent compilations them, well the early ones anyroads. Mixing was rather dodgy must say for studio sets, but the tunes more than make up for it!

Its where i found out most of my id's

Yea fully agree with you, some quality tunes. You always knew they would have a sick tracklist with all the classics on. And some rare tunes that were not even released on a label. Agree with you ally about the mixing i always thought the same aswell! Every mix was a case of slam the fader up

    I've downloaded loads of these, here's vol 2 cd1

    http://www.mediafire.com/?1dxbr1g4jx0

I've converted it to a single file, mixed them so there's no gaps, struggled to get some of the mixes right tho'. I've put the tracklist in the file comments.
I've got volumes 1 to 20 (only cd2 of vol1), so if anyone likes i'll do some more. Or, if you want a particular tune..........!!!

Ok i'll do them as and when i get the time and stick em in the oldskool download thread.

What's wrong with rapidshare? pay £4.83 and download what u like for a month, none of this waiting 3 hours crap.........downloaded 20 cd's since last night.............need winrar to open em up tho'.
Only bad bit is, cos it's not links and you have to copy url to browser address bar, it clogs up the address bar dropdown.

Strange how it all went tits up after 2000, I never realised it til i came on here and started listening to the earlier stuff......................ed

Cheers mate, I might join rapidshare when I get me own computer sorted out. Whilst I'm on me mums tis really not worth it at the mo.

Yeah went badly tits-up pre 2000 - even some of the 99 sets are playing old stuff from a year or two earlier, which is never a good sign - I thought Millenium Jam was an awful event, ****ing awful.

For me it was the beginning of the end when Helter Skelter decided to call it a day, even though they have tried in one form or another to relaunch, its (the whole scene) never been the same since.

It was much, much better when the underground element was still strong.

Wish i was there, sadly missed the boat. young lad who got me into it said the millenium bash was rubbish, he was at final countdown and never stopped talking about it for 3 months.
    Woe and alas

Fianl Countdown was the year before wasnt it??? 98/99

When you have Man Parris on the mic all night, as he was at Millenium Jam, you know something has gone badly wrong somewhere!

The best skelter I ever went to was probably Energy 97 - it was the first outdoor event I went too and it blew my mind. In fact thats probably the best night Ive ever had..... 15 years of age in the technodrome tent.... hi mum...
    ha ha ha.

Energy 98 was rockin aswell, I always thought the summer events were much, much better - even better than new year.
