Default Patriotic Acid and Acid Lemonade

A couple of releases that you might find interesting.

The Ace of Clubs - Benefist
    http://www.discogs.com/release/997688

Got this on CD last week.
The Album itself is OK, Luke Vibert goes Acid basically.
    Mostly slowish and funky.
All the tracks have got a good groove to them, although they don't particularly do anything amazing.

    Patriotic Acid

Definite stand out track for me.
Mishmash of Acid and Old School, switches between classic Piano stabs with a nice rolling acid line underneath.

    Osma - Acid Lemonade

    Absolutely storming.
    Just keeps building and building.
I'm not overly fond of the vocal, but it's used sparingly and the track as a whole more than makes up for it.

Stuck it on super loud last night whilst making tea.
Had the wife screaming at me to turn it off because, 'it's just evil noise'
A sure fire indication that it's a quality tune

    ha ha! :)

One thing I have noticed about Osmo, he likes to make fast as you like tracks. That samples flat out innit?!

    Yep. :cheese:
And that sample finishes at 4 mins 24 in the track.
From where it kicks back in, there's another 1 mins 10 seconds of screaming acid mentalist build up.

That's the first thing I've heard by him, but I'll be hunting out more of his stuff.

He's got a few mixes up on his website too.
One DJ mix and about three mixes of his own tracks.

Haven't had a chance to give any of them a proper listen yet like.
