    Default Z`EV

While talking about influences and origins in techno, I can`t help but think of Z`EV
One of the progenitors of the industiral music, he was making purely percussive tribalised music in the 70`s, and was influential to a lot of the early electronic based bands that toyed with the birth of dance music.

    There`s a good link here.

I`ve been into his stuff for years, and was lucky to see him perform (which he still does today) using his self made metallic percussive instruments.
Very techno, and good stuff to listen to, to give an idea of what you can do with purely percussive sources.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

That man puts on a great show. Got to see him in '91 with Controlled Bleeding and Dissecting Table. Great show all around. He had all this stuff he found in the alley beforehand miked and run through effects. All percussion and no synths whatsoever. Great performance.
    You burned it, you donkey!
