    What a total cock.
The passing around of live recordings, as long as not done for profit, can only aid in the promotion of the music, the person playing it, and the people who made it.
All he is doing is playing some records anyway, what`s the damn fuss?

The man is only concerned about his pockets.

This is the whole problem with the superstar DJ cult.
It`s empty, people bigging themselves up and stroking their egos harder than anyone else because they know full well what they do is the emporers new clothes.

    Tenaglia is sounding like J-Lo.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

    Exactly what I was thinking.
If you're proud of your craft, you should want people to distribute your mixes, it's the perfect free advertising.
Unless he's worried that people would rather sit at home and listen to his mixes than go see him in a club.
In which case he's a mentalist.
I suppose you could be concerned that recorded mixes being distributed are denting your mix CD sales.
But an 8 hour set is never going to make it to CD.
If he thought about it, I'm sure people listening to his 8 hour set would get to the end and say, 'Crikey moses, that surely is one amazing journey. Next time Tenaglia is in town, I'm definitely going to have to check him out.'

"some people have confessed that they had recorded various DJ's sets, but they were only for their private listening pleasure and were never passed around"

Err, surely if the mixes are getting passed around every is using it for their private listening pleasure?
Does he think people are getting together in numbers, recreating a club environment, sticking his mix on, getting the Ket out and experiencing his divine and god like mixing and set programming skills, but without paying to get into a club?

    As I said, mentalist.
