Default stupid cocking final scratch piece of shit

Just went "pop" and died on me.

Useless piece of junk. Had it two years. Always had concerns about the stability, and then they gloriously ended their relationship with Native Insturments, and left me high and dry. I'm not sure I can even get it fixed without paying as Stanton changed the conditions of their warranty, reducing it to just a year. What they hell are they doing making equipment they can't guarantee will work for longer than a year?!

    Digital djing is fanastic.
Final scratch is a piece of shit and I will never buy anything from Stanton ever again.

    Grrr Grrr Grrrrr.

    Going to buy traktor scratch...

Sad to hear that mate. I'd try and get it fixed. Might well be only a minor issue.
Long gone are the days of sturdy builds...

Just playn f**cking records or off a laptop mate :)

iv never trusted these final scratch ythings, a y
ear or 2 agho some guy was doin a demo at a music show and it wasnt working properly at all, yet people were still lovin it.

Vinyl or laptop is best, both are reliable to a degree, CD's are too cheap and delicate though i think.

    Im bored so im waffeling..sorry!

Playing records off a laptop isn't much fun though. Mixing requires a certain mindset that I really like, and works well for performance. Plus with vinyl you always hear a human behind the controls, which adds to performance. But I can't afford vinyl.

There must be systems out there that work. I just think stanton are shite.

Final Scratch has always and will always be unstable IMO.

    Never liked the damn things.

A few of my mates use Serato.

One guy has been using for 18months and it has improved his sets due to being able to drop much more stuff faster.

    digital djing is great.
I'm just dubious about the interfaces.
You only need one dodgy needle or badly wired phono leads and the system is useless.

    Argh

    This is very true.

You should probably always carry needles and cables with you, but there are still points of failure.

    And a soldering iron

    And flux

    And solder

    And a brass wire brush

    And some sandpaper

    And spare phono connectors

And a cross-point screw driver and a flatblade

    ..............

Not looking so much like light travelling now is it

of course if you're not determined enough... get a rider!

Always take my own needles, usually end up playing on technics and their phono leads are hardwired inside so no hot swapping there.

Teknotika - any problems so far? Looking to swap over to traktor scratch, would love to know more about your experiences.

Love to know how you get on mate. Serato looks and sounds dead good by all accounts... just would rather use traktor software myself given the choice

Anyone want to buy a reconditioned final scratch unit?
