Default Josh Wink - Higher State - Deal Records 03

Josh Wink - Higher State - Deal Records 03

    A1: Marco V remix - http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/dealc003/a/
    B1: Dirty South & TV Rock remix - http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/dealc003/b/
    B2: Tweekin' Acid Funk - http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/dealc003/b1/

Everyone should own this anyway, but in case you don't, this has been rereleased (again) with new mixes. It still does the damadge, but if I'm honest I thought the actual pressing / cut is pretty quiet. Some serious gain cranking needed! :whoops:

    Like the Marco V remix.

The Dirty South remix is beyond gash I'm afraid.

Yea, it was the Marco V mix that I bought this for. :)

But like I said, the cut / pressing is pretty poor. It's far to quiet. The sound quality's there and the bottem end sounds fat as, but she needs cranking...

The thing with this tune is that it was sooo iconic in it's day that you have to make a damn good re-mix just to justify the process in the first place...

I have crackin' remix of this tune on Nu-Life Records (if my memory serves me) from 2003 (?) , which is a proper dance floor burner without doubt... and thank god for that...

...otherwise I think that producers are knocking out a re-mix of this almost just for the sake of it... i.e. off the back of the prowess this tune created back in it's hayday...

I don't think any mix has ever come close to the original, and it still does the damage on the dancefloor.
