Default My whole Smitten collection, f*ked :(

Back in June we had all those floods and my record rooms got flooded - whilst I was on holiday...

Only one inch, most of my records were fine but one section is ****ed - all techno records beginning with SI to SO.... that means my whole collection of Smitten. Basically we put a heater in the room to dry it out and it's warped that whole section...

    GUTTED :(

I know, I'm really upset about this actually. Makes you realize how precious your vinyl is. I'll never get those back. Bah, life sucks...

I've actualy still got another section in my collection I've got to go through and I'm dreading what I'll find :grr:

savge. smitten records are the pride joy of my acid collection, but surley the insurance claim on them would be mega. worth a fair bit init.
doesnt make up for the loss but softens the blow.

Iron them. Sounds mental, but put the records between tea towels and iron them. Either that or wait until summer comes again, and on a really hot day sandwich them between some glass for a while. Or stack them all up in a pile and leave under a heavy weight for a while. Either that or get on eBay and start trying to buy them all again.

never use a haeter to dry out water damage, you need to use a de-humidifier to draw out the moisture, using a heater creates more moisture. maybe to late this time but remeber it for next time.

i've had nightmares about my house burning down and melting all my rcords!!
