Been considering the music production course to get a good insight into making my own stuff and to help me decide what setup to get at home.
Just wondering if anybody has been to here? Or knows anybody who has been.... and would recommend it?

Dont bother.
Learn proper music instead. you'd be much better off.
I speak as a music technology lecturer, honestly craig. learn m-tech yourself, read a few books and practice.
Get keyboard and music theory lessons instead.
