what kind of musical instruments do you think will or should exist in the future?
like a live video set were you can play live in ten clubs at the same time
The manner in which instruments reproduce sound will be the next to change as will the mode of delivery. Entire walls as speakers and floors as sub bass devices.
or individual speaker systems that do not require headphones.
If you want to read some inspired ideas for music technology of the future, you should read Needle in the Groove by Jeff Noon.
reactable
eheh moving forward so fast
guess some mind or move control
without the need to touch push or turn something
man, i'd still like to think we would interact with them using our hands, dont like the idea of people making dance music without moving hehe. you could be right though, think devices like that will be developed in time.
instruments that don't cain the electric bill would be great!
21 minutes to know
i once went to a seminar done by Ltj bukem at the sound expo in london and they were sayin the next step for clubs and music production is to go 5.1 becuse you are not able to rip this to mp3 but they also said this would be big by 2005
but its not lol
I know Tim exile from years back. He pretty much built himself a musical instrument - a custom MIDI controller synched up to reaktor, with custom programmed FX and actions.
More instruments like that I reckon, but with more universal controllers and intuitive software behind them that interprets your movements rather than just actioning them out.
Interpretive instruments. That would be cool. My air guitar would translate to jimi hendrix...
