This is a dj we've waited for far too long to see in this country and is someone for those who, like us, are bored stupid of seeing the same old big name djs hogging the limelight... Joel will be warming things up for the first hour or so with his own brand of dark, floor friendly minimal techno and house trax. Expect anything from Monolake and Marcel Dettmann to Redshape & Pendle Coven through to the harder sounds of Exium & Bas Mooy. A proper warm up dj.

Our trusty residents who've both played alongside some of the biggest names in techno (often putting them to shame) will close the night battling back to back and dropping some of their all time favourite bangers. A (cheese free) party set to close the night from 2 of yorkshire's most dedicated and long standing techno djs.

on the whole it was although there were a few others turned away for looking too "rough" or being too drunk when they blatantly weren't but it's all sorted now.

i've spoken with the venue owner this afternoon and the only people who will be refused entrance in future are under 18s and "blatant" idiots (so try and appear at least semi-normal on the way in next month mr dogshit).

the door will now be pretty much controlled by us from now on.

the very wonderful club owner's just bought us a shiny new laser today which i thought was a nice show of support and he's making some improvements to the sound system although from what i heard it and the feedback we got it really doesn't need it.

all djs were great mate. come down early next month and you'll get a free cd of the whole night (artists permitting this week).

crowd was up and down, it was nice and steady until around 2am then petered out a bit. good first proper party though and the venue, imho, is the best underground venue in leeds by a long way.

it's not all dark Si, although i prefer it like that with just smoke & that strobe but it can get pretty intense.

gutted i'm not gonna be around for this, the last one was great: excellent dj's, quality venue, great vibe, the soundsystem was good but a bit too top endy for me: my ears were screaming for two days afterwards (i might have to accept that earplugs are a good idea :whoops: )

thanks for the feedback Tom, i thought the same about the system although alot of people seemed to like it. it'll be tweaked a bit before the next party and we'll have a full time sound engineer in too to keep on top of it.
