i agree and then i don't.

i agree with your statement that alot of people should grow up and open up a little. the definition of sellout in techno these days is a load of shit and very unfair. people need to make money and national airplay is great way to get you recognition for your label or tracks and bookings for the skills and hard work you put in the studio.

That said, some people are just trying to tap something cause something else was falling apart.. that's something that doesn't belong in any scene. there's a difference between self promotion to pay the bills and live a little and exploitation of others. the latter is what i take to be offensive.

the last thing i'll say is i enjoy a lot of differnet kinds of music. i've talked to a lot of people who enjoy these different kinds of music over the years and i have to say that people who listen to underground techno are the biggest isolationists of any genre. Even i was pulled into that attitude, elitism and segregation is bitter pill. i have learned to absolve myself of it.
