I said (third time now), that he's been England's most consistent* player for the past 10 years.
I also said that he's one of the most decorated players in English football history.
hardly controversial by anyone's standards.

the fact that England as a team have been shite for almost 40 years now really ain't Gary Neville's fault. poor dude wasn't even born when England were at their worst.
