That`s the point though, the birmingham sound probably in terms of direct influence and ethic, is the closest thing to the original Industrial Music of the late 70`s/early 80`s, that incidently partly originated in birmingham.
So to me, I would call this industrial techno.
buuuuuut, not everyone realises or thinks the same way, as industrial is a word that has been adopted by many now.
hence my original reply.
Solitary by nature.
Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

exactly, whilst knowing the origins of the brum sound and the influences behind it, throbbing gristle, mick harris etc etc, i still wouldnt of called it Industrial techno, to me its just a classic era of uk techno, hence the ambiguity
the wonderful, confusing, annoying world of techno rumbles on
TG invented it and was originally designed to be music for factory workers, that's what the original idea was.
We use and work with this music a lot, try our two mixes :) Not hard and not tied to any bpm but musick to werk to...We use this kind of stuff to escape from the traps you can fall into while making music and listening to others.

I think this entire thread has proved my point entirely.
Everyone has a different take on what industrial techno is.

Industrial is the theme song to laverne and shirley cause they are in a beer factory.
Wetworks
Compound, Punish Blue, Mastertraxx
I thought it was techno made my chinese children, in china, in US sponsored slave camps.
I mean, factories of course. nothing like wearing a nice brandname threaded with the sweat of the exploited.
Yay!!!!
