    Default Get ya classics out!

This week I have been mostly listening too...

    In no real order:

    1) DAVE the Drummer - Sound Of The Future - Eukatech http://www.discogs.com/release/79395

Just a completely and utterly solid 3 track EP.

    2) Strobe - Breakout - Eukatech http://www.discogs.com/release/27116

Same reason as above, 3 class tracks.

    3) Incisors - Blown Away - Intensiv http://www.discogs.com/release/55842

Showing Guy McAffer's old skill of never really knowing what you were going to get from him, and being blown away. An acid house/tech type track one side and an acid trance monster the other. Superb stuff. Spaced out sounds, no shitty raped to fu*k RAW sounds here.

    4) Gy-Ro - Subway Termination - Intensiv http://www.discogs.com/release/120786

2 solid acid trance tracks, dark, funky...great!

    5) Secret Hero - Straight Ahead - Stay Up Forever http://www.discogs.com/release/20091

Sod "Build Up The Pressure", this release was always about this side for me. Absolute belter from Mr Drummer. Full on, in your face, and fu*king avin' it. They don't make them like this any more.

Pig Snorter - My 909's Got a Picture of Chris Liberator on it.

Relentless, dark, belting, ****ing monster of a tune - can't help but lose it whenever it comes on.

Yeah, the incessant vocal loop can get pretty annoying, but the filthy, filthy growler of an acid line and the gargantuan kick more than make up for it. Flip ain't bad either.

Yep I agree completely. Anarchic acid. The flip - Marauder - just soars. Fantastic stuff.

Marauder is a beast! Was never keen on My 909 to be honest. Vocal was over used.

I always thought this tune could be played at the absolute peak of a set, but not really any other time.

If I remember, Shaft Punk - "Get Ya Organ Out" --> "My 909" was a pretty devastating mix if you did it long and smooth.

Fat two acid tracks by the Geezer. Really like releases from this label. Most of them.

    1. CHOICE - Acid Aiffer

Beautifull almost 14min long 303 journey...

    2. Antidote 4 - Punkaholics

Two great tracks...it was always strange to me that this tune wasn't too popular.

    3. Abstraction Rec. 002 - Rowland The Bastard

Freak show is one of my fav Rowlands tracks...great strong 303 as we love.

    4. C.O.S.H.H. 3 - Well Paid Scientists

Two massive tracks...classic release...and i'm still looking for it :hissyfit:

    5. Underground Resistance - The Seawolf

    No comment needed here.

    The Weathermen - 909 Backup - Boscaland BOSC039
    http://www.discogs.com/release/47058
Love the busy drumbeat and deep bassline.

Punk Floyd - The E's Are Working (Coming Up Mix) - Smitten Remix SRX4
    http://www.discogs.com/release/81847
DTD and Chris Lib slow it down but crank up the funk.

Secret Hero - Control (original) - Stay Up Forever SUF18
    http://www.discogs.com/release/31670
Builds and builds and builds, then lets rip. The tune that introduced me to acid techno.

A+E Dept - Experiment IV (original) - Stay Up Forever SUF23
    http://www.discogs.com/release/23483
Has everything - chugging bassline, throbbing 303, cool samples, the best breakdown I've ever heard and a finale to die for. Intense.

Secret Hero - Multiform/Speedfreak (both original) - Stay Up Forever SUF26
    http://www.discogs.com/release/31660
Two total classics in one package. Speedfreak has everything I love about acid techno and the 303 finale to Multiform is fantastic.

    Overrider - Timebomb - Choci's Chewns CC025
    http://www.discogs.com/release/254520
Tick tock tick tock tick tock boooooom - a DDR classic.

    Ha-Lo - Dirty F***ing House - Deluxe 004-6
    http://www.discogs.com/release/227711
Chris Lib and DTD again - tech house it may be, but I like it cos it chugs along nicely and is different from the norm.

There are plenty of others but that'll do for starters. What's my favourite from that little lot? It's a toss-up between 909 Backup and Experiment IV.
