    Default Soundcard Advice

Looking to buy a soundcard very soon but I need something that will do the right job. I have 2 Pioneer CD 800s MK2 and a Ecler Nuo 2 Mixer. I also have Ableton Live and soundforge + Midi Keyboard. Basically I need something that will allow me to record my mixes when I mix with the CDjs AND to allow me to have good sound while producing AND which wont give me latency issues with my midi keyboard. Im willing to spend 200$! am I asking to much from a soundcard around that price range? Can anyone reccomend a model?

I have the Delta 10/10 and love it. You can pick up the LT version without the break out box for quite cheap. Highly reccomended.

    go for EMU 1212M
    http://www.emu.com/products/product....1&product=9872

bit more expensive than 0404, but they have more INs/Outs + even better converters:
Mastering grade 24-bit/192kHz converters - the same A/D converters used in Digidesign's flagship ProTools HD 192 I/O Interface delivering an amazing 120dB signal-to-noise ratio

Do you have the 1212? If so, how are the current drivers? I was thinking of picking one up, but I'm always held back by the horror stories of the past...

    cheers

They seems to be ok. I dont have any problems, and my latency is between 5-10ms. I have heard lot of horror stories about their drivers before I bought it, but then I decide to go for it, and even EMU support is not as proper as lets say M-Audio one and they dont have new drivers every 3 months, it is worth getting it, because the sound quality for that price is top notch and I dont think you can get something better in that price range....
