Thing is though the labels are sending him their promo's so there is nothing that can be done about it!

Labels know that if Julesy plays their records then they are getting accross to a massive market and thats what they want to make money! they dont give a fcuk that JJ is a cheesy puff and I doubt the word 'underground' means anything to them!

It's all about money innit!

Bah... it's frustrating but there's nothing bar the illegal/extreme we can do to stop it.

Perhaps ignorance is the best medicine... Ok, it doesn't help but it makes you feel better not knowing what certain people are playing!

It is a strange thing, and very worrying - why can't he stick to playing his gay fake techno

    Default radio 1

radio one should be took off the air!!

judge jules & fergie are trying there best to destroy the underground music scene.......it pisses me off so much!

like ikon said you can understand why the labels send there tunes to judge to make more money, but you would have thought they would want there sound to stay underground.

it all boils down to money at the end of the day........the root of all evil!

The thing with Mr Julesy is, does he even like the tunes that he plays? It would actually be quiet nice to find an interview where someone would put to him... "so what music actually moves you" and to see what his reply would be.
TBH if he could say that he real liked the hard trance tunes that he was playing then I'd have to say fair play to him... I mean wouldnt you wana bang out some phat tunes as well?

I know this is VERY unlikely and as your saying hes just jumpin on the band waggon... but I think its worth looking at both sides of it.

Theres a very easy trap when DJ'ing between the underground and money... just look @ it this way... some one comes to you and says look, we'll give u blah and blah you can quit ur job and not have to bother working again...and all you got to do is do the thing you love.... DJ ... sounds like a very temping offer if u ask me. BUT then what you get is the old.... where paying you to play, so U play what we tell ya... which obviously sucks!

I think I've gone a bit OTT on this post but I've always wounderd how much influience the people at radio one have over what there DJ's play.

I'd be up for Hardstyle with melody... there's already a few border line cases about....

Tell you one track I absolutely love is the LeBrisc mix of Thomas Troubles & Blutonium Boy's - Go Burn That Fatty Ass. It's amazing!!!

    Default classic trance

i would love to see trance go back to what it was like in 96-98, for me it was the best......it had a really spacey vibe to it and the molodies were wikkid!

maybe because there are some many money grabbin producers out there milkin trance for everything its worth some of the underground producers will start makin trance faster like it use to be.

I think if thousands of people start turning up at nights that are playing hardstyle, it can't be a bad thing for Jules to play these tracks on the radio (not like that's gonna happen any time soon though with the way shitty hard house and shitty trance has such a grasp over the nation).

Do you not think that these labels may be sending their tunes out to famous DJs all over the world (they are Italian after all - they may not find any stigma associated with the name Judge Jules). Would you begrudge them sending out these tunes to people like Scot Project, Lady Dana, etc??

Jules takes a lot of flak because he plays what people in this country want to hear (or what the UK media tells them they want to hear), if everyone starts wanting to hear good hard trance, hardstyle, gabba(?), etc when they go out, we can only be looking at a very bright future for our scene.

You have to remember it is our scene so if you want it to stay sounding good, make sure you only ever buy / play / dance to / listen to tracks that you like - corporate bastards can never take that away from us.

    The future?....

I like the style that is around at the moment in Qlimax - they call it hardstyle but it seems to be a mixture of melodies with the hard kicks, etc (hard trance + hardstyle).
Like everything else though, this will soon get old too and people will want to move on again......
