Paul Mac (Stimulus, Theory, Sino, Ingoma, Locked)

After following the seemingly amazingly familiar UK path of electro/hip hop/acid house/techno it has now been nearly 19 years since Paul Mac started dj'ing and he has been producing for nearly 12, having recorded for over 30 labels and with nearly 100 release's to his name its probably fair to call him a veteran of the scene.

The past couple of years have seen Paul's profile raise dramatically thanks mainly to high profile releases on Sino, Intec, Theory, Tronic, and Ingoma plus a handful of tours to the likes of Brazil, Venezuela, Columbia, Japan and his residencies at the Split and Retro-vert parties.

    Element3 (E'poch Worx, Locked)
Matt Blak was born in London 1979. He started dj'ing at outdoor raves when he was 16. Soon after that he started making basic tracks on drum machines. Over the years since he took his talent further and started the club night ERA @ Le Bateau, Liverpool, U.K. where Matt was a resident. He played sets along side artist's such as The Advent, Ben Long, Jamie Ball, Steve Glencross and Terry Mitchell. Further bookings @ Technologic (Ireland) saw Matt headlining, and a second date warming up for Chris Liebing. Then over the years he decided to start his own label ...... E'poch Worx.

Featuring artists such as The Advent, Space Djz,DJ Amok, DJ Bam Bam, Paul Langley, Switchblade, Jay Knight & Mhonolog. Also with tracks by Matt under the Matt Blak & Element3 names. Further projects such as 'ERA' , the digital label from E'poch Worx are in the pipeline.

Matt has now built his own studio at home where he produces all his current work. Using modern and vintage gear such as a TR909, TR626, Latronic Notron Sequencer, Nord Modular, Doepher Drehbank Controller, EMU XL-1, FX and also software like Ableton and Reaktor running on a MacBook Pro & a Powerbook G4.

    Good lads booking Paul Mac.
His set from the night at the Phoenix is a classic.

Is Locked moving to a Saturday permanently then?
