Xvid films! wot codecs

does any one know wot codec pack do i need to open xvid files?
please help.

Download VLC, videolan player. Plays most things and comes in handy -

i got that player already but hav not idea how to get it workin. just wont play anything at all

It will look at a file and tell you what codecs you need.
