    Thursday February 14th at Wax

    Siphon [FvF Records]
    Richard Brophy [Test]
    Philip Long

    Admission - e6 / Free with flyer before 12

Finishing up as he was originally meant to do back in November is Dublin Producer/DJ Siphon (aka Nick Flanagan) - one of the founding members of FVF Records. Siphon spent his formative music making years under learning to produce after being taken under the wing of F-Com & Intec producer 'Kobbe'. Siphon appeared on FVF's first release with a remix of Sjaakflut's track 'Stomper', also has contributed the A-side to FVF's second release 'Various Artists - Fiends & Family EP' due for release in the coming weeks. Expect a tough minimal techno set around 132bpm.

Playing the O'Brien's triple decker slot this week is Richard Brophy. The one time Etroink superhero over the last few years Richard has ditched the superstar journo lifestyle which saw him travel from New York, London, Paris, Munich [everybody talk about pop music] asking Rich had he ever ridden a horse? or DJ Hell what he had for breakfast with his Champagne? Nowadays he is happy to sit in his Speedos and control the Test empire from the comfort of his own bedroom [watch out the viper is about]. Along with EC residents Jason Jay Galligan and Daniel Dan McElligott, Test have put on The Advent, Sleepachive and Redshape [May 3 at Kennedy's!] as well as a host of quality local lines up. Richard still writes 30 words or less on the most important techno releases of the month in DJ mag and keeps one of the web's better blog's updated regularly with tunes, chat and interviews. Check out www.testindustries.com if you haven't already, where the countdown to Bloc has well and truly begun. Here is his latest mix brought to you by next week's headliner Philip Ryan's cypher-music site:
