    I love the write up for that yamaha -

    The Yamaha HS50M monitor delivers performance you can bet your career on.

    Lmao.

    Anyway, i wouldnt go for the roland at all. The yamaha would be a better bet, but for your purposes i would check out Fostex or KRK. It would be wise stretching your budget a little to get the best you really can afford.

    +1 dont go near roland with a shity stick.

    for DJing dont use studio monitors. Get some small hi fi speakers with a high RMS figure.

    i need one small monitor, for some djing im doing in a local pub, plus it will double as a small speaker for my home recordings. whats wrong with rowland?
