When listening to music you are experiencing a constantly evolving & changing present in the form of sound. Your thinking stops (the root of all your problems & worries), all concepts of future & past are destroyed (temporarily). Thats why we love music.

how do you think music started though, do you think we started playing and realised we reached certain states of mind, or was it more communication based? if this is true, then our view/need of music has changed massively over the years
