    word is he was arrested last night and detained under the Mental Health Act after erratic behaviour at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead

    I feel sorry for him.. top bloke depite all him problems. Biggest waste of footballing talent this country if not the world has probably seen.

    So why was he detained under the mental health act I wonder? Sounds more like the actions of a hooligan if anything and it doesn't sound like he posed a danger to himself or to others particularly...

    well,with the complete lack of any facts (going by that bbc link) We can't say,because it goes into no detail at all. He could have been dressed as a nun,dry humping the bellboys leg whilst speaking in tounges for all we know.

    he would have to be clinically insane, otherwise it would be illegal to section him otherwise. If someone will not go to hospital voluntarily, they may need to be sectioned to assess their state of mind, and keeping their safety and others in mind.
