i always appreciate your opinion dude. As being an accuarate barometer of what represents good taste musically. Yet again you have confirmed this belief.

I have been sent quite a few Dubstep mixes one by our mutual friend The Divide, which i listened to thoroughly out of respect for our friendship.
Luckily it was strong enough to survive the wasted hour i spent listening to it.
Basically it represents a safe medium for people who have no talent in mixing.
Everyone is either too depressed or too smacked out on Ketamine or Heroin to give a **** about what is playing anyway.
I think i could play Max Bygraves at the slowest speed possible and you havent have a clue it wasnt progressive Dub-Step.

oh come on ffs... opinions are one thing. you come on like a jealous lil schoolgirl that didnt get the boyfriend. what did u say to dirty bass that one time he posted a dubstep tune? then u come on with some wannabe 'nice' talk trying to play the freedom of speech card.

    ****ing Lame!!!

re the mixing bit.. the likes of Milanese mixes dub/raggae/hardcore.. all in the same set, loads of tempo changes with loads of variation! top marks for mixing for him!!

C.O Prodigy speaks the truth.. why divide stuff into genres...?? a mix of this and a mix of that and everyones happy!

And just to clarify.. yes the people who have a clear vision make great stuff , the people who try and immitate them usually end up sounding like just that.. just to make sure that posting this video isn't seen as a slur on the whole thing.. made me chuckle first time i saw it

    Aratron. STFU

Creativity is creativity. Its not anyones fault except your own that all you have ever listened to/appreciated/bought/or mixed over the last 10 years has been Acid Techno.

You butt in on DB calling his dubstep tracks shit, you call Zeitgeist tunes 'lame' without ever listening to them, you 'discover' Speedy J & Steve Stoll 15 years after everyone else, and you wholly admit to not having a tune in you head.

    **** off man.

The first half decent discussion about music on this site in a while and you turn it into a drama with you at the centre of it all.

Some Vex'd stuff is ok, and some of the tracks out on Combat are worth a listen.

    Amen to both of those.

I tend to keep an ear out for Planet μ as well.

Alternatively I just pop into BM Soho and say "I'll have a listen to anything with obscenely rude bass noises".

Meh, I have a soft spot for bits of speed garage.

187 Lockdown - Gunman, for example.

What is it about wobbly bass and gunshot noises that works so well?

Then why are you implying that people who listen to it ( ie for example the Divide & others) are a heroin junkies & k-heads with no talent?
When in fact I bet you take more drugs (prescribed & illegal) than most people here and have admitted serveral times that you are 'completly talentless' and dont have a note in your head.

If you dont like something then fair enough (see scotts comments for example) but no need to act the complete tool. You ****ed up enough forums on this site and ruined them. Last place to to act the bollocks is in here it seems.

back to the discussion, i'm someone who has listened to a bit of dubstep but haven't been as impressed as some others are. but i'm open minded.

anyone care to link up a mix or two that might change the mind?
