    Default Chopping

    is that what you guys call it chopping?

    just kinda did my first real chop the other day , after alot of practicing.

    doing my head in a bit, really cool way of expression and drama in a mix?
    what do other people think?

    Think he means cutting it up....i like to use 2 of the same record,1 on, 1 off or 1 behind a beat....get some good results doing that.
    But yeah, i vary a cut up style with long fluid mixing....like Barry said,can sound shit when overdone....use in moderation!

    Hes probably discovered that moving the crossfader back and forth between two records is fun I reckon.

    erm just like tranfering the beats using the up-faders. like 1st beat on one channel and then onto 2nd beat with the second channel. and so on and so-forth.

    yeah, your right.. thats doubling up...but its still chopping or cutting in and out with the fader-faders, whether its with 2 diffrent records or 2 the same.

    yeah thats not doubling up then. Its Fader Cuts.

    @Seige - ok mate.

    FYI using two records and replaying the same section of each one is called beat juggling.

    further FYI - i hate beat juggling.

    I like boob juggling!
