onyx is a analogue mixer, but you can buy a firewire card for it that does 18 in 2 out for your computer.

You can both mixer and card for about $750 over in the US, so thats where I'll buy it from. Disco!

i have the onyx.. didnt get the firewire option but i really do love it. much betterr than my old 1604. mind you, one thing i REALLY hate about it is the fact the 6 aux knobs for each channel are under the eq. meaning if you want to tweak with your head in the right position in relation to the speakers, you need to make your own desk that will enable you to pull the mixer forward a bit - pretty impossible in my tiny little studio. it means i end up doing alot more eq'ing in the computer - not that that's a bad thing of course, it's just i do love tweaking the desk ;)
