That last statement you have made there is you just talking out your ass i reckon..

I would say Owen still has rooney in his back pocket for English Footballers...

And hes knocking them away again for fun now, something rooney isnt.. And Owens been crocked more times..
Gascoigne's the only Englishman in my lifetime that I'd rate alongside Rooney.
Owen, Shearer, Robson, Hoddle all defo world class, but I reckon Rooney's next level.

He does miss too many chances though.

agree with DJ:Rehab...it's just way too early to say he's the best or even one of the top 5. rooney certainly has enough talent, but got a long career ahead of him in which he'll have to prove himself. and loads of other talented players have burnt out quickly or become disappointments.
The law is not the private property of lawyers, nor is justice the exclusive province of judges and juries. In the final analysis, true justice is not a matter of courts and law books, but of a commitment in each of us to liberty and mutual respect. - Jimmy Carter

true right too much hipe and then not enough goals rooney is a class player but i cant see him being the best theres a few new youngsters comming through again now look at freddy spears west ham in resever footy 29 games 29 goals i think west ham full team debut nice goal ..
rooney might shine next season as he has been injury struck but i wouldnt class him as top 5 the top goal scorers explains that
