automating Kontakts filter effect in Cubase SX3

You can't automate the instrument insert effects (the blue ones)

If you want to automate a filter, it needs to be on a group insert (the green ones), either that or you could route the signal of Kontakt altogether and automate an external filter

If it's already on a group insert, I'd try assigning it to be controlled by an external CC from within Kontakt (right click on the filter cutoff knob, select external sources -> midi cc, and enter a CC number) and then sort out the CC from within Cubase somehow. Don't know how to do that though i'm afraid
