This is the bomb

175
we use the h4 at work, but the H2 is widely respected with some of the big boys in field audio recording
can fault the ones we use. superb sound quality and serious interface abiiity at an amazing price.
these people are even cheaper at 149 and will also throw in free AKG headphones.

brilliant price.
The h4 is more expensive but has in built compressors and mic modelling when recording, will record line and mic in four track mode and also has XLR inputs with phantom power, which the h2 does not have.
horses for courses. the H4 is bloody brilliant in class and a breeze to use, we had a marantz minidisc recorder which was forever being shit and crapping out on us, expensive on batteries, hard to use and required a seperate mic. SHITE, my point being is that we had a 600 quid recorder which has been out done, out manouvered and sounded worse than these babies.
my advice... go for it.
