United won the league by getting results when they're not playing well and Arsenal are only 4 points behind and United picked up more than 4 points without playing well. Ergo, we've got the better team, we just don't win if we're not playing well!

I wouldnt say he is the best manager in the world. I would say he was in the mid - late nineties.

there were two things that turned united into a great team.

The Youth Academy which bred, scholes, beckhams, nevilles. etc. This has not been repeated and probs never will.

And Fergies management of the team during these times...

Anything in the early noughties can surely not be classed as greatness as neither can present day as he had a vasts amounts of money to buy world class players which in fairness takes having to be a better manager down a notch or two. Games can be won alot more easilty when you have 6 - 7 £20 + Million pound players in your squad.

But he was a great manager.

Now hes just a manager with great players..

The only team of real quality in the champs league you have played though mate is Barcelona and they mauled you home and away but just couldnt put you to the sword.

The teams you have played it is surprising that you havent been beaten is it?

I mean barcelona hammered you, you were lucky to get the win @ OT and get the draw @ the Nou camp, if it wasnt for the strike force being W8nk then they would of whooped you. Put someone like Torres up front for them or even Rooney and you would of been annilihated it was only there strikers or lack of them that got you through.

So to be unbeaten doesnt mean anything to me, not until youve played someone half decent and won comfortably.

please define 'hammered', surely when you 'hammer' a team you beat them by a clear number of goals, like the way United 'hammered' Liverpool at Old Trafford, or the way United 'hammered' Arsenal at Old Trafford in the FA Cup

against Barca United played a negative tactical game and won the tie, Barca had the better of play but were ineffective in front of goal, Sir was cautious when in reality there was no need to be, United would beat Barca at the moment in a straight shooting match, their records in their respective leagues is a testament to this, however, Sir didn't want to risk not progressing to the final and did what he had to ensure we did

haha so barca "hammered" us did they ? did u watch both games ? away in spain .. well we didnt play our normal way but the game plan worked to stop them scoreing , to play on the counter attack they had the ball which UTd always seem to let other teams do and didnt have a real shot to trouble van der sar untill henry cameon in the late 70mins mmmm so a real hammering hey pfft i think u need them goggles tested dude ....

as for @ OT hammered again were we ?? so u must of missed it when we kept pressing but missed chances then they put the pressure on in the last 20 mins but didnt do much all game so to say again we were hammered is a tipical sour graps comment from a kopite who only speaks volume for his own piss poor team !!

I agree with what you are saying.

But the fact of the matter is, Barca has been the only credible team you have played against in CL this season. They played you off the park for both of them games. The scoreline did not reflect both of what was played in the games at all.

Barcelonas strike force has been on the wain now for sometime so its no surprises that they couldnt nick one past you. Your defence is good i agree but every defence has its weaknesses as does uniteds.

So again barcelona have been the only decent team you have played in Champs League and you struggled against them. Its the run of the luck/cup though i spose as to who gets who. But if it were to come down to worthy finalists based on games played against the hardest teams, then it should of been a Liverpool Vs Arsenal Final.

But its not, and am not bitter am merely stating a fact about you and the teams chelsea have played. Youve played basically the premiership equilivent of Mid table teams bar, barcelona to reach the final. Granted you are init.

I spose you will say who cares how we got there, i would say the same, and one of you scum sucking mancs would raise the same points with me about the "weak" teams played.

But your there and well done on getting there, so now its twice in fergies 20 years and to reach it again after 9 years of being the top club in the premiership is even better. Quite remarkble even.

One thing to worry about though is the final it aint in the bag yet, and you can put your money on it the referee wont be steve bennett so he can win you another cup.

ok then, so Liverpool and Arsenal would be worthy finalists because they've played the toughest teams :lol: but United have beaten both your worthy finalists on two occasions each this season, and Chelsea once also, so by you own logic if Liverpool and Arsenal can beat the likes of Milan and Inter, United would be able to also, because United are better than Liverpool and Arsenal

there's no question that United are best football team in the Premiership, if the fact that we're champions isn't enough, look at the head to head results of the big four for proof
