    Default Hughes to City?

apparently Mark Hughes has been given permission by Blackburn to speak to Man City after he made it clear that he's interested in the bigger budget and prospects on offer at Eastlands

well surprised at this to be honest

I'm a bit surprised they're not going for someone with a better pedigree! I mean Hughes has done well, but he hasn't won as much as Sven and they sacked him.

word is that Sam Allardyce is the early favourite to fill the post of manager at Blackburn Rovers

Paul Ince, Alan Shearer, Darren Ferguson and Paul Jewell have all been mentioned as alternatives

    Shearer would be a laugh

Indeed. I hope he does well, rumour has it they're in for Ronaldinho, which would be cool I think, to see him in the Prem at a team I like.
