I think Croatia are a bit toothless without Eduardo though. Russia could be a good shout as dark horses.

...but there's still a half to be played

3-0 it finished, quality performance from Holland, took advantage of Italy pushin forward to try to get back into the game, Edwin made some fine saves

Croatia did well with the win, I wouldn't be so happy with the football if I were a supporter, though.

As for last nights thriller, I'm not gonna comment Van Basten's well oiled machine, I will however try to put together a well groomed italian squad that could get the job done, to get to the second round that is.

    4-2-2-2

Buffon (played superb last night, saved Italy from humiliation)

    Fabio Grosso - DL
    Giorgio Chiellini - DC
    Christian Panucci - DC
    Gianluca Zambrotta - DR

    Alberto Aquillani - DM
    Daniele De Rossi - DM

    Andrea Pirlo - AMR
    Simone Perrota - AML

    Fabio Quagliarella - ST
    Antonio Di Natale - ST

    :
    Subs
    :
    Marco Borriello »
    Luca Toni »
    Mauro Camoranesi »

I think this squad now deserve a chance to play together one match and I think Italy have a good chance with them.... it's up to Donnadoni :)

Anyway we know who the world champions aren't..... I always knew :)

He said he wanted to come to Arsenal, but there's probably more chance of Liverpool signing him, him and Torres look an awesome partnership, the best in the Euro's for sure. Liverpool could do well if they sign him.
