    Default Decks + Ableton setup

I'm in the process of setting up decks and live (on laptop) and intrested to know the typical/best setup for it using the laptop as a 3rd deck as well as FX. I have a USB audio interface for the laptop (TASCAM US-144) and the laptop is decent spec (2.2 dual core, 2G RAM, 300G HD).

I have a vague idea of a setup but not hundred percent and interested to know how you guys do or would do it.

    Thanks!

best bet would be to use the new sereto scratch as it has midi out and can sync to ableton.

otherwise you can map a controller to the "nudge" button (ableton 7 only).

if you're using ableton b4 version 7 you can map a slider to the ableton tempo but it aint much fun.. a hell of a lot of pushing and pulling.
