A fantastic label, totally ahead of it`s time. Might be able to get hold of the back catalogue if you want.

awwww
you know what i'm gonna go out on a limb here and have a damn good moan.
i know all you guys think lawrie is the dogs whatsits and all that
and please belive me that i hold him in very high esteem as an artist
myself.
the cutting room and pressing plant are excellent
and a lot of the energy to make these things work is provided by lawrie
who is a tireless worker and talented engineer/businessman

HOWEVER

one thing lawrie has in my opinion been extremely bad about is really being straight up about who is involved in his musical outgoings and as the pounding grooves series has no credits and the techno slut series had bizarre names no-on really knows who actually made the records

SO

the collaborators on techno slut
which was run solely by lawrie but failed to make any money and had to stop
were......guess who
me,guy, chris lib, geraldine and i think some old mates zippy and alex were involved too somewhere. ( could be more but my memory is failing)
lawrie made one or two outgoings on his own

pounding grooves :
lawrie, me, guy up to about 12/13
some were just lawrie but most were collaborations
then i think wilko (ignitian) got on board for a while
and i did a few more so did guy
the last one i did was 29 which was a while ago now
of course there's been a few remixes some heve been pretty good

and he's started fresh grind which is a wicked label
me and him on number 1 (either side)

so to not overdo the point
this is the true history of these labels
which is why i get really pissed off with this acid techno / hard house nonsense

i mean who gives a shit???

i used to write for all these other labels ( routemaster , smitten ,s.u.f. ,) and yes i agree techno slut was ahead of its time and i thing would even now give well establihed techno names ( subhead , surgeon , beyer, etc etc etc ) a run for their money on certain occasions.
i write techno for labels like bound , pounding, goodfellas , blackout etc etc etc
then there's hydraulix an that
then there's vicious circle ..........?

i mean it's your choice ....
all you have to do is buy the one you like
and leave the one you don't
it's that simple

so really techno / hard house / acid whatever whoever wrote it on whatever label , keep an open mind

something which is surprisingly hard to do these days.

anyways sorry to lawrie if i've dissed him in anyway it wasn't my intention , only to get the truth out 'cos i get a bit pissed off about the credit situation sometimes

and sorry to all you lot for droning on

my 10 cents
