    oooh good topic mate! I agree with the above, absolutely. Er... theres a couple I feel come under that catagory- Jeff Mills did that CD/DVD with the Montpelier Philharmonic Orchestra, that is pretty spell binding.

    Then there's Pet Shop Dave, a mate who does a completely live wicked acid set. Not sure what the sound quality is on this vid cuz I have no sound.

    suf crew changed the face of techno (as i know it0 back in the 90's
    glenn wilson
    pounding grooves (introduced me to a totally new sound in 98/99)
    hawtin (back in the day)
    beyer
    sims (for his djing style)
    and a load more

    hardcore techno would be **** all without it imo

    mon the hiphop crossover

    lately everyone out of the Don't camp and similar labels like Coin operated. In my book defo taking things forward, not enough of it about though.

    ribbz and aggressor, i think they deserve a mention as i bet they got alot of people into techno, not only myself.

    then its the obvious really, surgeon, vogel, regis, ruskin

    If you exclude Scorn for not being techno then surely Aphex Twin and Leftfield and the like are a bit iffy as well. But in terms of innovation he's up there with anyone that's been mentioned.
