Where has it all gone?

Most of the hard trance im finding these days have a real uplifting feel, i want to hear some more nasty stuff!

Has anyone been buying any dark stuff recently?

Ijust checked that track out on the net, definetly reminds me of the darker period a couple of years back, itll be very nice to get a dark vibe goin sometime this year :love:

you never know mate, i think (or at least hope) producers are going to look to do something different than last year or move forward somehow, maybe going back to the dark side of things will allow for a differnt path to be taken ?

im not sure tho.

some types of hardstyle are taking over the darker side of stuff. trance does seem to be getting more uplifting.

i really want it to and i hope it does i really do!! so any producers if your lissening produce some good quality dark trance!!!! i think people want to hear it

I think you may be right there luke, this year has seen so much uplifting hard trance and so much hardstyle. People are forgetting the darkside of trance!

I have recently completed one of the new Klasic & Sanders singles and have almost finished a release under the DJ KLASIC name. Both releases will be HARD TRANCE and both releases will be NASTY, HARD AS ****, and AGGRESSIVELY MELODIC.

Keep you ears peeled early 2004 ;)

Defintley agree with you mate. If there is anything with a dark atmosphere and feel to it, it will be killed with an Hardstyle Bassline and Distorted Kick drum, which isn't always the case for listeners.
This has got me searching for all the older dark trance classics but there not always that easy to find, and mostly out of stock!!

I mean the likes of Uberdruck can defintley give it Dark but without the Hardstyle feel, the likes Of "Turntable Junkie" and "Circle Of Darkness"
So i would expect some dark releases from Uberdruck this year.
Also "Schwarze Puppen" can defintley give it that dark,cross-over feel.
Also there is Ray Clarke who i think is an excellent artist who can deliver acid-tinged monsters!!
Others, possibily: "A*S*Y*S" (we all know their capability but need to release alot more often) "Sam Punk" i wouldn't count this fella out in switching style a little!
"Warmduscher" need to hear some more stuff from him this year! I know he teamed up with Sam Punk on the excellent "Drug Addicted Physco"

So the producers are out there, but like DJ Trubass said, its all usually got that Hardstyle feel to it
