Been messing with some loops I'm liking the sound of so far, do they sound a little hard dancy?

Cheers mate, the loops are just snippets, ideas- I'm just badly trying to avoid that hard dancie sound.

can only download one at a time due to rapidshare

hotbumliquid.wav has a kinda umeky thing going on later on synth wise.
You might want to beef that synth line up quite a bit. Maybe run an arpegiator over it or a little delay+some verb. In addition to that i think you could bring up the subtle bassline quite a bit and try and marry it to the kick. The hats sound a little isolated. I think you could get away with some additional percussion loops or stuff to layer in. I'd probably start with beefing up the lowend. Once that's established layer stuff over it. I don't think it's sounds hard-dancy. I'd study some older umek stuff (fanboi i am) and maybe extract parts like the kick and see if you can replicate them by using your own samples. Also with such easy structure lots of the old umek tunes (think lanicor) etc. had you must really invest a lot in making the sounds fat. I'd try and replicate one of his arrangements to start with. Load up a tune in your sequencer and put some markers where different parts start/stop. Glad to have you step outside of the shadows, mate.

Agreed mate, they need some chunk and some percy percs thrown in. The first one does sound Umeky! The main thing is, it doesn't sound hard dance ish. I'm going to tear into this one and see what I can get out of it. Will throw it up when I'm done.
Cheers for taking the time dude.
