Default using inserts on mackie desk

    hi guys
i want to use the inserts on my mackie 1604 desk and have got an insert cable that is one stereo jack and two mono, but is it possible to insert more than one effect like say eq then comp then back in the mixer, if so what cable could i use to link it all up?

yes its possbile. have a look on the output connectors and input connectors on each unit you want in the chain and get the correct cables.

    insert out>compressor in>compressor out>fx in> fx out> insert in

or add as many ins and outs as possible.

personally speaking i would get a patch bay.

cheaper than breaking your insert points.
