One of the bands I grew up with. The Butthole Surfers are from Texas and played all the time. You haven't lived until you're on a few hits of acid and Gibby comes out on stage with a shotgun loaded with blanks and unloads it on the crowd.

ditto. loved these guys in my "formative" years. they've done two shows here in NYC over the last handful of months and it's good to see they can still bring it. def don't have the antics of the past (though Gibby did manage to get kicked out of the Webster Hall show an hour in, for getting "physical" with the sound guy).
