    Default cluster problem

ive bought 2 copies of cluster 52 now buy mark & chrissi, and on both copies in the first few minites of the tune it keeps skipping!

has anybody else had this problem ?

i bought them both from different shops as well.

I myself don't have this problem luckily...

But 2 of my friends do!!

There is a little "bubble" on the vinyl if you look closely.

I guess it was a pressing defect...

    :-(

yup... cluster 52. right before the first mini breakdown.... pisses me right off.

it's a pressing defect, which is weird... usually curve pusher kicks ass.

hopefully just a one off thing and it doesn't happen again.
i just play the track after the first breakdown.... sucks, but what can you do.

it is a wicked track!!! thank god it just happens at the beginning of the track so i can still play 80% of the tune.

yeah my 3rd copy finaly doesn't skip
but it took me going to 2 the beat records in toronto and going through 12 copies to find one that doesn't skip

the bubble is still there but it's very very faint.

I thought mine was OK until I played it out on Saturday, and it jumped badly mid-mix . Still got a strong reaction though, so just proves it's a blinder.

Try fiddling around with the weights on the deck arms, mine skipped in the same way but after a few minutes of mucking about with these I don't have the problem anymore. Played it out as well and there's no problem there!

    Hey Mark,

Sorry to be another bearer of bad news but I managed to pick up a copy of your Submissions 2 (wicked release and best submisssions yet) at last but every record in Bangin' Tunes was warped really badly. James in the shop said the term is called "coned". He thinks they were not left to cool off before going into sleeves which has caused the problem. I still bought it and can play it OK as long as i'm not too heavy handed with it on the a-side.
