    Default Dodgy Cd's

just wonderin how many people have got copy's of bootleg cd's of mark or m-zone? And where about u live? They are usually copyed and are named like mark eg volume 4 or summit like that. the guy who is doin these is bang out of order, and i can see why they are pi**in mark an that off!

Also, Mark, ive found a shop that is sellin them. im gonna see if i can find out who is distributin them to them. if u wanna know the shop name, send me your new e-mail address and i'll let u know.

    Default Cd's

Ive got a few different ones including mark eg, mzone & hixxy. On the hixxy one the mc says its recorded live at die hard. Ive seen them for sale allover the place. Its not fair if they havent got the dj's permission to sell them as the mixing is generaly quite poor on most of the ones ive heard. If I find out any more ill let you guys know.

Yeah ive got couple of mark eg one's-sorry mark didn't realise they were dodgy!!!
they were from acorn records, yeovil, (£4.99 each or 2 for £8.99 or summat).
when i got them home and listened 2 'em, i was dissapointed cos they didn't sound like anything id heard mark play b4, real sh1t sound quality aswell. id be gutted if anyone sold stuff that they were claiming was me in shops, specially when its not up 2 standard. :x

    Default Mark not playing !

Didnt think that mark would play at a club like that !
I used to be a resident there at group therapy, that was alright but it was full mostly of tossers that can't get into anyother clubs in weymouth !
    Glad to hear it !

lol i've bought a few of these cd's and they ****in minted!

got mark e.g. vol. 3 (a big, purple grey's head made up from the cosmos)

    mark e.g. vol: 6 (a full-body grey over a blue background)

m-zone vol: 7 (a picture of the universe and different planets)

the sound quality is excellent and the mixing is next to perfect.

i don't doubt there is other dodgy stuff going around though. i've noticed some new old-skool ones of clarkee and stuff coming up. they sounds like they've been encoded at a lower bitrate, and one i listened to had a crackling-vinyl sound all the way through it (that happens to be the sound as a poorly copied cd that doesn't spin perfectly in some stereos. bung it in your pc drive and they can play fine).

dunno if this is any help

frequency recordings and mark e.g are working together in a bid to relieve the country of all cheap and unofficial cds that are currently ripping him off. Check out www.frequency-recordings.co.uk for more info.

    up to you:

official, mixed in the studio, top quality glass mastered
    or
unofficial , mixed live by ?????, cheap & nasty cdr, unsupported by mark

    thanks for your support

spot on, thanx for the info guys.

but yes, i'm going to get up off my arse and sort this problem out. the first step in place has been this new frequency recordings cd above. it'll be a studio mix that is mixed properly and i'm happy with. i'm trying to get ahold of copies of the bootleg cd's as we speak, cause i just want to know if the quality is actually ok. if they don't seem too bad - well there's no harm in them being out there.

but i do need to know where they're being recorded from. at least if i know that i can approach the club and sort out some sort of deal with them (they need to know what they've done is wrong though)... that way it can say 'recorded live @ xxxxx' and i also get to know that my set is being recorded that particular time i play.

it would be nice to know that don't you think?!!!!!!
