Looks like it, it's just a holding page.

I know the shop wasn't doing so well, but I thought that closed down ages ago anyway. I know Oz who used to own part of it but he hasn't been involved for a while.

    Shame.

He's a proper stand up bloke, helped me out of a bit of bother a few years back. Haven't seen him for a while though, but then I don't really go to those kind of clubs any more.

ah, that's shit if it's closed down. My favourite record shop. Last time I bought stuff I noticed that they didn't seem to have all the latest releases though so I wondered if something might be up.

God yeah, I hear you. I'd love to get back into it but I can't see me being able to do it straight, and I gave up all that stuff a couple of years ago. Got too out of hand for far too long. And to be honest I don't really have any mates down here that are into techno. It's gigs and festivals for me these days, haven't got the stamina any more

yup, looks like it has gone out of business, unfortunately =/

Also, it looks like Cisco Records (Tokyo) also shut down their online operations. I knew they closed their flagship store last year, but I was under the assumption that they would keep their online business going. I guess they just sait the hell with it, and shut down everything =/

I seem to remember it going offline once before with no explanation afterwards. Seems like the same thing again.

They really need to stick up a notice on the home page for a few days to let people know what was going on otherwise people automatically think the worst and stop bothering ...

If they can't be bothered to stick up a notice then maybe people should stop bothering.

Further update - they've definitely gone out of business.

Unfortunately, after 13 years of business BangingTunes Ltd no longer exists.

A new company has been established and will endeavour to run the site in a limited capacity, while ensuring customers with items reserved receive them.

No more vinyl will be ordered.
All out of stock items have been removed from sale.
Outstanding back orders cannot be fulfilled.
Unfortunately no refunds can be given on outstanding orders.

For customers that had items reserved, on back order, or credit available please note the following.
The company you placed your order with no longer exists and the new company has no obligation to you.
If you have items reserved please ship them before May 31st.
If you have credit available please spend it on items in stock and ship the order before May 31st.
The remaining stock may be ordered until May 31st.

The new company will continue to run the community aspects of the site, DJ Mixes & Forums, with a view to monetizing the traffic to cover the server costs.

The new company is also for sale. So if you are interested in a business with large community and 1M+ page views a month, get in touch, any offers considered.

I would like to thank all of the customers who have shopped with us over the years.

    :(

Used that site when I first started buying records, but they couldn't compete in the long run. Good luck to the team!
